New Bundle from Stampin’ UP!

petal-potpourri-2-webThese flowers are from the new stamp set Petal Potpourri and they are punched with the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch. You can save 15% if you buy them together as a bundle. I like how you can easily layer the dot and smaller flower to add dimension to your project. The dot and small flower coordinate with punches also to make things quick and easy all the way around (1/2″ circle punch and 1-1/4″ circle scallop punch).

petal-potpourri-1-webSale-A-Bration, the biggest sale of the year just started – you can choose one free item for every $50 you spend on merchandise. The catalogs and all the new products are available by visiting my store here:

Sheltering Tree stamp set

sheltering-tree-set-webThese new stamps are a photopolymer set that is available in the new Occasions catalog. I am planning to use the tree for different seasons by switching ink colors. I stamped the tree and one of the sentiments on the envelopes I sent the new catalogs in – if you didn’t get a set of catalogs let me know and I’ll send the new Occasions and the Sale-a-Bration to you.

hello die cut card

The Spring Occasions 2015 catalog is coming January 6th and there are some really pretty and versatile surprises inside!

2014-12-16 07.07.14There is a set of word dies that I have been anxiously waiting for – the words are happy, hello, you, and thanks in a fun curvy script font.

hello-spring-2015-catalogEverything on the card is new except for the doily. I cut several of the hello words and glued them together for dimension, you can see in the side view:

In the past I have used wax paper between the die and the paper but I didn’t need it with this new die. The paper cut easily and popped right out of the die. I can’t wait to play with the other words – soon!

Love is Kindness stamp

2014-12-09 19.51.21

Here’s a peek at one of the new stamps, Love is Kindness. It is fun to color with the Blendabilities, and the blue flowers were colored with a new color set, Bermuda Bay. I don’t know of any flowers that are really that color but I wanted to try out the new colors. The flowers on the right are colored with Calypso Coral, one of the color sets already available.

Love is Kindness comes as a single wood-mount stamp and is in the Occasions catalog available to customers on January 6th. All 12 color sets are available as Sale-a-Bration free items – what  a great deal!

Burlap Wreath

So I finally finished this “simple” project. Many of the tutorials I watched said it only takes about 10 minutes. And maybe it would have if I had the same wire wreath. But no, I bought one that is different from the one I posted last Friday. ugh. I thought about taking a photo partway through but decided not to since I just wanted the dang thing done. It looks pretty bare but I needed to clean up all the lint or whatever that stuff is called that the burlap sheds. What a mess! I will put some decorations on it, just not sure what yet.

Friday Favorite

Favorite what?

Well this week it’s my current favorite DIY project: a burlap wreath. There are scads of tutorials on Pinterest and I will need to stop looking at all of them at some point so I can get mine done!

Here’s the burlap and wreath that I am starting with, and I’ll show you what I end up with next post!
